Talentdatabase.com

Too excited not to share! I recently listed myself on this cool new site called Talentdatabase that allows artists of all genres to promote, share and network.

This morning I was delighted to hear that I had been featured in the fashion channel that I list myself under! (First listing under the featured heading.)
I have found this site to be so inspiring as there are so many gifted artists and behind the scenes connections.

I can't wait to see what comes of it!

ABBOT KINNEY FESTIVAL!

Ok, I'm super excited to announce that I will be in this year's Abbot Kinney Festival with my esteemed booth partner Michelle Caplan! We have been anticipating their response for quite some time and 2 nights ago, just before bed, you know when you just take one more peek at emails and such...well, there it was! The golden acceptance letter to a festival I have admired as a visitor for many years.

SPC - Patterns Week 3
Ok! I finally did it! I had joined a while ago but now I'm an active member of Self Portrait Challenge Tuesday! This month's challenge is patterns...
Funny, obscure, not completely obvious and a little risque :)
This is going to be fun!

Artist Every Month! I am honored to announce that I have been selected to launch Artist Every Month at p!ay hair lounge in Simi Valley, California. Not only is this the most dope funky fresh salon in the West, but Brig "extraordinaire" loves to spread the word to support her local artist!

With this opportunity I am also launching The HannahMade Guide to Flowers and Plants as well as displaying my new chakra necklaces and lots of fun earrings! The few times I've been back since setting up I've been tickled to see girls in foil trying earrings on!

Each month p!ay will feature artists from every craft; jewelry, collage, knitting, painting, and the list goes on and on! Brig, you ROCK!

Etsy Treasury "All You Need Is Love"

There is something so enjoyable about searching through thousands of artists on Etsy and having to narrow them down to 16 that represent a topic of your choice.
Getting your own Treasury on Etsy is no small feat. You must have patients galore and a name in mind...once you type you can't go back.

I was fortunate enough to get a treasury this week and chose the topic of love.
As in the image above by Michelle Caplan, I was able to find the sweetest hugs and loveliest sentiments on creations ranging from fine art and pocket mirrors to clothing and softies.

Please take a closer look and feel the love!
All You Need Is Love

Hopefully I'll snag another one tonight!

Hooray for Felt Club!
I don't have the energy for photos and fancy links right now, but that's only because Felt Club spent me to glorious exhaustion. Thank you Jenny, for doing your part to help us all succeed. I am so grateful for this experience and hope to see today set the standard for crafters' support everywhere!

Blue but Not Sad

It's been a while since I've posted from the heart...
This dear fellow pictured above is a present for the baby my dear friend Sylvia, is about to have. It is my first attempt at a stuffed animal of any kind and I have to say, I'm kinda sad to see him go. He sits proudly at 12" tall and was crocheted out of super soft Lion's Brand acrylic "mohair" yarn...the funny thing is, I think I'm allergic to him. As his body came to a close (literally) my eyes started to itch like no tomorrow! Alas, I couldn't leave him limbless so I suffered through to the end.
Just this evening I initialed his rear with a little HM for HannahMade and packaged him up for his special delivery tomorrow afternoon.

So farewell Blue...

Don't worry, I'll visit often.
For those of you who think I'm crazy....wait 'til you see my Swarovski crystal endeavor!

Tag, I'm it!

From ShandyKing to Michelle Caplan to me...so here it goes, 5 things that make me more interesting (if you can imagine!) :)

1. My real name is Hannah-Childe. Yes they were hippies.

2. One time I peed in public (not on a camping trip). Sorry! It was Halloween and I was lost in Silverlake, what do you want from my life????

3. I'm a math geek...when I was in 3rd grade we could do math crosswords for extra credit and I finished a semester's worth in one week! and I was in the Knowledge Bowl in High School competing in math.

4. When I was in 6th grade I ran the 1/4 mile in track. I was about to beat Max Bigelow in a race and missed my moment of glory when I collapsed from an asthma attack about 15 yards from the finish line. It's ok...I think it's funny too. Now.

Last but not least
5. I LOVE brussel sprouts!!!

I will be back when I find the next 5 victims :)
